Hotel Cortez started the year 1960 as the first resort of the then small city of Santa Cruz. Its founder named The Poza of the Bato, since was the meeting place of young people and the starting point for the carnival parades, the biggest open party in Santa Cruz.

Today, the Hotel Cortez is the first and only hotel in Bolivia with the ISO 9001:2008 Certification, keeping rooms and services with most hight standards.
